Colette studied philosophy and creative writing at the University of Chicago (BA, 2015) before completing DCTV’s Young Women of Cinema fellowship in New York City (2017-2019). Since then, she has directed seven short films, co-directed a TV pilot, and served as the creative director of Kismet Ideas, a Louisville-based web design company.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 2021, she produced numerous projects, including the independent feature film, Hot Cheetos for Layla, and recent online ad, The Smart Play, for Silicon Valley High School. Her latest short film, How to Be High All the Time, premiered at the LA Shorts Film Festival July 2023. She currently serves as a producer and casting director at Thursday Dinner Pictures.
